Equipment News & Updates August 2008

We were a bit premature in believing the precipitator was fixed and in proper running order. We have had numerous problems with it over the last few months, but think we are finally on the right road and hope to have it fully functional shortly. We have been running for the last two days and believe we are finally getting a handle on the precipitator. Time will tell.

Our dryer is undergoing testing this week. Hope to have good news on this front soon. And the modified centrifuge should be delivered sometime in August.

We again have several people to thank for their help in working at the plant. We especially need to thank Jim Roberson who has been a life savior in the welding department. Without him we would not be nearly as far along as we are. We also want to thank Les Booth, Rick Harmon, Don Clour, and Kevin Moras. Thank you guys, we couldn't do it without you.

We also owe a big thank you to David Ward for all of his work and his attitude when he has to do something for the fourth – or fifth – time. Thanks Dave.

Body Armor Testing Enters New Phase

Our body armor testing is just starting a new phase at both Georgia Tech and Oakridge National Lab. They will be testing two different aspects of body armor with our product installed. The body armor company is paying for both tests.

Pathogens Update

We had hoped to have the test results by June but there were some problems with the schedule of the testers. Our anticipated date for results is now August 30.

Reminder: 2008 Annual Meeting

Don’t forget: the Annual Meeting will be held in Fort Walton Beach on Friday, October 24th at 6:30 p.m.

As we mentioned in our last issue, we hope to be better about publishing this newsletter on a more regular basis. We know everyone is interested, it just seems like a newsletter is not as high on the priority list as alligators in the swamp about to bite, but we will try to do better.
